Detroit Dragway, often referred to as ”The Dirty D,” operated from 1959 until 1998. The Dragway was home to many Motor City racers and thousands of spectators who were thrilled by the sights, sounds and smells of the drags.
The iconic Detroit Dragway, which was located at the intersection of Sibley and Dix, was one of Downriver’s most famous attractions. The racers and fans have remained loyal to the dragway, they weren’t ready to let it go.
