Drag racing legend Bill Jenkins Passes Away

Today the drag racing world has lost another great.  William Tyler Jenkins, aka Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins, passed away today 3-29-12 at 81 years.  Jenkins was voted No. 8 among NHRA Drag Racing’s greatest racers in a 2001 expert’s pollBetween 1965 and 1975 he won a total of thirteen NHRA nationaldrag races.

Len Richter

Michigan has loss one of it’s best drag racers from the 60’s & 70’s, Len Richter.  Len is probably best known for driving the Bob Ford Thunderbolt Fairlane, and he also drove a 1965 A/FX Mustang.

He was a joy to watch, and was part of the history at Detroit Dragway, along with many other drag strips. In 1964 Len won
