When I think about all the good times I had and all the good friends I met and have kept over the years, it’s amazing. I’ve seen guys that were considered top dogs at Detroit that aren’t even racing anymore. I’ve seen the economy take away a lot of the spendable income we used to build our cars, buy trailers, trucks, campers, etc. Sometimes I feel like the tracks don’t appreciated what we spend on our hobby that helps keep them open.

Little Red Wagon’s Jay Howell

One of the biggest influences in drag racing was a Detroit native, and a frequent racer at Detroit Dragway. This person’s name is Jay Howell.  Jay was born in Detroit, Mi. and later moved to Huntington Woods, MI.  As a young teenager Jay spent many weekends, and night cruising Woodward Ave.

THE RAMCHARGERS

Ramcharger High & MightyBeing a die hard Mopar fan I have many good memories of the Ramchargers.  The Ramchargers started in 1959 when a group of Chrysler engineers joined forces, Their first car was a 1949 Plymouth business coupe named “The High & Mighty”.
